Hey everyone! My name is Vitaliy, and this is my website about Phuket.
I've been blogging about the island for a long time, and at some point it became clear โ I needed my own site where all the useful information would be gathered in one place. It's still a work in progress, there's a lot left to do, but it's time to kick off the blog.
Here I'll be sharing short island updates, observations, news and what's really going on in Phuket.
What's happening right now
The heat is holding strong
It feels like the peak hasn't passed yet. Very humid, the sun is intense, but the sky is often slightly overcast, which makes it seem cooler than it actually is (in reality โ it's even hotter).
The sea is calm
Virtually no waves, the water is clean. Right now is the most comfortable time for swimming.
The monsoon hasn't arrived yet
No rain, the dry season is still holding on. But you can already sense on the horizon that things are about to change.
Interesting fuel price update
After the recent price hike, we're starting to see the first signs of a downward trend. Diesel in particular has dropped slightly โ about 2 baht per liter after the government decided to reduce fuel costs.
Overall, it's clear that after the spike the market is beginning to stabilize, with a gradual trend toward lower prices.
All in all, the island is in great shape right now: calm seas, hot weather, plenty of tourists.
From here on I'll be regularly posting short updates so you have a clear picture of what's really happening in Phuket.
