How to use the travel buddies board

This board is a live feed of travel buddy requests. No separate forms or website registration: write a message with a tag — within a minute it appears here for everyone.

How to post a request

1. Join our community if you haven't already.

2. Write a regular message and include the hashtag #travelbuddy. The order doesn't matter — it can be at the beginning, at the end, or in the middle.

3. The bot will see your message and within a minute or two will show a card on the /travel-buddies page. In Telegram, you can click on the #travelbuddy tag to see all such messages in the chat.

Example of a good message:

#travelbuddy Looking for 1-2 people for a speedboat to Phi Phi on April 28. Already booked seats, splitting the cost 50/50. Departing from Patong at 7 AM. DM me, let's discuss details.

For others to be able to message you — your Telegram profile must have a @username set (Settings → Username). Without it, the card will only show your name and a link to the message in the chat.

How to contact the author

Each card on the website has two buttons: "Write @username" opens a DM in Telegram, "Open in chat" leads to the original message in the group chat. The first option is more convenient for private conversation, the second — if you want to discuss publicly or verify the author is real.

Safety

I moderate the feed but do not verify the identity of authors. Standard rules:

How long does a post stay up

A post remains in the feed until it scrolls off the main page. New messages naturally push old ones out — usually within 7–14 days the active feed is fully refreshed. If your plans changed, you can simply delete your message in the chat — the post will also disappear from the website.

Moderation

I reserve the right to hide any post without explanation. For systematic violations or spam — author ban (all their posts, past and future, are automatically hidden).
